Before Meeting with the President, Visiting the Ohel

Twenty Seven souls were brutally extinguished in a single act of inconceivable violence in the Sandy Hook Elementary School. Amazing tales of heroism have emerged from within this tragedy and the community has come together in support of one another. Before President Barak Obama arrived for a visit local Shluchim have already been offering moral support.

Rabbi Yisrael Deren, head Shliach of Connecticut, who put on Teffilin earlier today with Lenny Posner, the father of the youngest victim Noah (6), whose twin sister was also in the building but was thankfully spared, visited the Ohel.

Now a period of grieving and mourning has begun for victims of the shooting on Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., that claimed the lives of 27 people, including 20 children.
