Former Beatle Paul McCartney married American heiress Nancy Shevell on Sunday, after receiving a blessing at a local London synagogue.
McCartney wed the divorced New Yorker in a civil ceremony at London’s Marylebone Register Office before 30 invited guests, ahead of a reception in his back garden in north London, reports said. He reportedly serenaded her with a song written in her honor.
The 69-year-old singer-songwriter, whose success in writing some of the world’s most enduring pop classics with the Beatles has helped him to amass a fortune of hundreds of millions of dollars, is marrying for the third time.
